Miguel Poyastro, President / CEO
Miguel Poyastro is President and CEO of Fortune Capital Partners Inc. (FCP), a private equity real estate group with more than three decades of experience in the real estate industry.
FCP has been a leader in the regional condominium and the multifamily marketplace for the last 20 years. During this period FCP acquired 35 multifamily properties totaling over 12,000 units, selling over 10,000 units as condominiums and providing outstanding returns on investment. Mr. Poyastro continues to be active, investing and managing new multifamily projects.
Mr. Poyastro is a graduate of Georgia State University where he received a Bachelors of Business Administration with a major in Economics. While at GSU he played NCAA basketball and played basketball professionally in Israel post college. Currently he is active in various philanthropic organizations, including Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the Baptist Hospital Founders Society.
Seth Heller, Managing Director
Mr. Heller is an owner/operator/investor of real estate acquired over a successful 13 year career. Mr. Heller commenced his career as an owner/operator of real estate assets. He acquired, managed and oversaw over $500 million of assets, during which time he acted as a fiduciary to high-net worth individuals and institutional capital partners with whom he continues to enjoy strong relationships. As a result of Mr. Heller's hard work and generosity in the community, Mr. Heller enjoys an impeccable reputation as an honest and experienced leader.
At Fortune Capital, Mr. Heller has been responsible for the Acquisitions and financing, and oversight of over 5,000 units, worth over 500 million dollars. Mr. Heller is a graduate of Florida State University.
Jake Shirek, Director of Acquisitions
Mr. Shirek oversees the company's investment opportunities and strategy, on both the local and national level. Mr. Shirek plays an active role in all facets of the company's investment activity; including development, real estate acquisitions, and repositioning strategy.
Mr. Shirek began his career as an investment sales broker with Marcus & Millichap. Throughout the duration of his tenure as a broker, Jake facilitated, managed escrow and successfully transacted on over $150 million of commercial real estate assets. Mr. Shirek has extensive experience navigating through complex deal structures, including success with high profile assignments involving distressed assets and receivership.
Jake graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
Barbara Perez, Chief Financial Officer
As FCP's chief Operating Officer, Ms. Perez's responsibilities are focused on Accounting, Financial Reporting, and compliance of FCP's Real Estate investments. Her duties include overseeing the cash flow planning and availability of funds as needed as well as maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
Prior to joining FORTUNE CAPITAL PARTNERS, Inc. Ms. Perez held the position of Manager with the - Financial Planning and Analysis-Risk Management Department at Ryder Transportation Services , Inc. where she oversaw the overall financials of the Insurance Operations Department.
Ms. Perez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting as well as a Master of Business Administration from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida.
Ingris Parvani, Director of Operations
As FCP's Director of Operations, Ms. Parvani wears several hats. Her responsibilities are diverse but primarily she is entrusted with the owner's personal finances, real estate investments and banking. She oversees FCP's day-to-day monetary activity and accounting for various entities in addition to human resources, employee benefits and pension administration. She also collaborates with the CFO in partner relations and investment reporting.
Prior to joining FORTUNE CAPITAL PARTNERS, Inc. Ms. Parvani held the position of Manager, Regional Business Development at the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce where she oversaw various member committees.
Ms. Parvani holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management, Human Resources and International Business as well as a Masters in International Business from Florida International University.
Carrie Miyares, Regional Project Manager
Ms. Miyares joined the FCP team in 2010, after successfully managing the sell out of over 2,000 units in the Condominium Conversion Industry. Ms. Miyares has over a decade of experience in the corporate property management field, with special emphasis and experience in condominium conversion and management. Her attention to detail partnered with excellent customer service skills, and strategic planning have contributed to many successful, and profitable project sell outs for FCP.
Ms. Miyares holds a License as a Condominium Manager (CAM) and additionally has proven to have effective skills in the areas of leasing, sales, marketing, and financing.
Joseph Poyastro, Associate
Mr. Poyastro joined Fortune Capital Partners in 2014 as a member of the acquisition and property management team. His primary duties include investment underwriting and evaluation, as well as real estate asset management. Mr. Poyastro recently partnered in his first acquisition, The Marquesa, a 252 unit condominium property in Pembroke Pines and has transitioned to the property to assist with management.
Mr. Poyastro is a graduate of the University of North Carolina where he earned a double major in Philosophy and Sociology.
